European Day 2010: Expectations Towards Regional Labour Market Observatories: European and Regional Perspectives

Functional labour markets represent a significant prerequisite for the successful economic development of regions. As in many regions there is insufficient suitable data for the optimal operation of the public and private sector actors in these labour markets and regional labour market observatories help correct this, the aim of the first European Day of the EN RLMM was to accelerate the processes oriented towards bringing together all regional labour market observatories in Europe into a single network to make it possible to quickly and systematically access and share the newest methods and practices. At the same time, it provided a platform for observatories from different European regions on the empirical application of these methods.
